Depression(for psychiatrist)
I'm suffering from depression from last 5 years but not completely recovered. I saw on internet that bupropion is very effective in augmentaion but my psychiatrist hasn't given it till now. Is it not prescribed much in India?? Why antipsychotics like amisulpride or aripiprazole given with ssri/snri??

There are many antidepressants and many studies. Lot of choices. Combination usually given when one drug does not cure completely. Bupropion is a good drug. But so are other ssri and snri. So you can discuss with your treating doctor if your current medication is not helping you. Atypical antipsychotics are added in psychotic depression, as augmenters and also in certain personality disorders when they are comorbid with depression
