Depression and Loneliness
This is regarding my partner. He has been facing alot of issues for past few years. He gets bad dreams almost daily like someone killing him or being left alone suddenly in the dark. Recently I heard him talk at night very scared asking someone to leave him alone. When asked he said he feels someone is around him and wants to kill him.He is not allowing me to talk to his parents about this.Past he has been into drugs and has been treated for it 2 years ago in a rehabilitation. What has to be done?

I understand your concern. From whatever you have mentioned looks like he has developed few psychotic symptoms. It is unclear from the information provided what drugs he was into in the past. Drugs are nervous system depressants which have the ability to cause all sorts of problems including depression, anxiety, psychosis or even dementia. I suggest he consults a nearby psychiatrist for a detailed evaluation to decide on the severity of his condition. It is easily manageable with appropriate treatment. Some counselling sessions along with medical help might be needed for him. I would also be more than happy to help you with that if you are looking for online assistance. Discussions will be held confidential. You can directly consult with me through Practo as needed. Online chat consultation is also available.
