Postnatal blues are common in many women and generally occur a few days after the birth of the child. They often tend to resolve spontaneously. However, if there is a past history of mental illness including depressive disorder, this should be assessed by a trained clinician and there may be role for pharmacological treatment.
Next Steps
You should be assessed by a trained clinician especially as to check for the possibility of postnatal depression which can be a serious mental illness and can have long-term ramifications.
Health Tips
Monitor your mood daily with the mood diary and seek assessment from a consultant psychiatrist if your mental health tends to deteriorate in the coming days. This is essential for your own life, but also for that of the newborn.

Hello. It seems one of your issues is that you're regretting not opting for a normal delivery and instead going for a C-section. You need not worry, there is no harm in opting for a C-section. Other than that, the complaints that you mentioned are very vague and do not give a clear cut diagnosis of any illness. My suggestion would be to visit a Psychiatrist and tell them of your difficulties. If you have visited one and they have prescribed you the antidepressants, do mention what improvement you're feeling and what you feel has not changed. If a trained physician/psychiatrist has not started the antidepressants, please do not continue them and visit a Psychiatrist as soon as you can.
