Hi...after extraction of wisdom tooth , antibiotic course should be given .swelling can come, but after 4 th day if swelling is there, then its not normal,it can be dry socket,a very painful condition, so visit your dentist, he will definitely recognize the condition, and give you treatment accordingly. Regards.

Hi..Usually swelling stays for 4- 5 days. A course of antibiotic is recommended. You can even take some medications to bring down the swelling as well. Your dentist should recommend these medications. Visit him again to get sorted. Regards

Hi, looks like you need a course of antibiotics and treatment for dry socket. Normally swelling will start coming down from 4th day.

It is quite common to get swelling after extraction of wisdom tooth. There is no need to worry, the swelling will subside in few days. Just get a check up by your dentist, if required he will prescribe antibiotics and a higher pain killer. After 4 days, cold food will not help, you can have your normal meals. Regards
