Yes u can go for braces... You need to visit a dentist preferably an orthodontist and get his opinion about occlusal status first... Then depending on severity of your malocclusion he shall suggest you a treatment plan and various types of braces available for treatment and time span as well.

Yes, u can definitely get braces at this age. Sometimes, front teeth looks big because they are forwardly placed (proclined), so after proper diagnosis we can decide whether you need extractions or not. There are different type of braces like metal and aesthetic braces ( ceramic, these are tooth coloured). So, as u are 18 years old and must be college going .. u can go for aesthetic braces.
