I feel you might be having a mobile tooth for which the dentist you visited might have suggested extraction of that mobile tooth and giving a bridge by taking support from the adjacent teeth which is a normal procedure
And yes bridge too has good strength and you can eat and chew normally as you do with your natural teeth

Hello. Dental bridge is done only after extraction/ removal of the tooth. And you can eat comfortably after the bridge is fixed. Also ask your dentist about dental implant for missing tooth. Happy to help. Dr Zankhana Mody Mohile
