Dengue problem
My brother have dengue. When my brother's dengue report is positive that time his blood plat report is 171000.and after some time his blood plat report is fall 62000 and the report is 110000.Then i am going to a md doctor and checkup him by this doctor. Yesterday his blood plat report is increase and the report is 130000.but today his blood plat report is again fall down and now his blood plat report is 125000.so my question is should i admit him in a nursing home. Or should I continue checkup him by a md doctor? Please tell me.

Hi,
In Dengue fever up and down of platelets are fine it's because of the viral infection in body. When the load of virus will decrease the platelet counts will increase automatically. Just take care that you drink lots of water and don't take pain killers only paracetamol for fever. Platelets will increase once fever start coming down.
You just follow up with doctor and you don't need admission unless he start having pain in abdomen, vomiting, breathing problem and irritable.
