Dengue joint pain
Diagnosed with dengue ,platelets are 395000 and WBC 7600. Fever is not there only joint pain. Taking dolo 650. Can I use some external gel like oxalgin or volini for pain. Please suggest. What are other options.

This treatment is being suggested on bases of the information provided. However  I would like to examine & investigate you in detail. Rule out Hypertension, Diabetes or any other metabolic disorder. Any way it may be tried, --. Dolokind Plus (Mankind) [Aceclofenac100 mg +Paracetamol 350 mg] 1 tab. OD & SOS. X 5 days. --. Caldikind plus  (Mankind) 1 tab OD x 10 days. (You may need help of your local doctor to get these medicines.) --. Fomentation with warm water. Let the part not be exposed to cold. --. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding. --. Keep  no pillow under the head. --. Avoid painful acts & activities. -- .Do mild exercises for back and hips and knees and ankles and feet. --.(Take help of a physiotherapist). --Do not ignore, let it not become beginning of a major problem. --Do ask for a detailed treatment plan. Yes, it can be used. Post viral joint pain tends to linger on for a quite a while, where palliative treatment is the modality of choice in mild cases.

Yes any gel which helps to reduce the pain . I hope  you have taken all the precautions for dengue fever according to your physician

You can apply any gel to help reduce the pain,  hot water packs and massage also gives temporary relief. Post viral joint pain may remain for a while.  Give pain medication only when pain is severe.
