Delayed periods
Hi, my wife is experiencing delayed periods from last three months. This time it is delayed by 9 days and counting. Did a pregnancy test which came negative. We don't have any kids. She has under active thyroid.

Hi, if periods is delayed and you have pregnancy test negative wait for another 5 days and do again urine pregnancy test or blood test for preg as sr beta hcg. As you r planning for pregnancy, some preconceptional tests to be done.meet gynaecologist.

it may occur in women who have anemia i.e low haemoglobin levels,diabetes or thyroid problems. It is also common in women with high levels of a protein called prolactin in their blood...it can be the side effects of certain drugs like oral contraceptives,antipsychotics,antiepileptics...it may be due to poly cystic ovarian disease as well... So I would suggest you to consult nearest gynecologists for detailed clinical examination and evaluation they will do the needful

please tell more about her previous cycles, drug and illness history as well as surgical history. it might be some small hormonal imbalance. if you are planning for pregnancy, come and get a pre pregnancy counselling session done where we will run all baseline tests and check up before conception.
