Decay near to nerve
In the marked image there is a hole due to decay, when x-ray had done, the decay is near to nerve. The doctor said that he try to open it and try to fill , if there is any pain goto root canal. Is there any option without root canal

The advise by the treating dentist seems to be right. In case the tooth has pain due to decay, root canal treatment is the ideal procedure to save the tooth.
