De-addiction, Depression
My mom is highly addicted to high dose of sleeping pills like Trika 0.5 mg. She claims that she can't sleep without sleeping pills & she take nearly 5 pills at a time twice a day. Besides she uses Gurakhu regularly, every 7-10 min since she leave bed in the morning till she goes to sleep. Occasionally she also takes gutkha. In the past she attempted for suicide twice. I am looking for taking my mom out of these addictions, depression so that she can lead a normal, happy life ahead. She stays alone in Konnagar, Hooghly, WB. She lost her daughter (my younger sister) when she was 1 year & her husband in Aug 2015. I stay in Kolkata due to my job.

She needs to visit a psychologist at earliest.  Also your solution lies in homeopathy.  Proper diagnosis is required.  Don't depend on allopathy to cure.  It's a temporary relief.  Homeopathy will resolve it once for all

Better to plan rehabilitation for her in view of benzodiazepine dependence and suicidal risk. She stays alone and it may become difficult to reduce medication on her own. Loneliness is likely to worsen her problem.

Firstly addiction and depression go hand in hand as all addicts blame depression to be the reason for addiction. The truth is there is no link at all there is no reason for addiction. Secondly addiction is a disease, fatal disease and is a progressive one. Thirdly troika 0.5 is basically alprazolam which is  benzodiazapam which is highly addictive to some people. However saying all that there are some very easy ways of dealing with the problem. She needs to be hospitalised where she can give up tobacco trika and the suicidal thoughts. She needs to be admitted for atleast 90 days. There is a problem of such institutions not being there for ladies but I have a few in mind like ttk chennai and manam bhubaneswar. Ladies are welcome there and their life's are again made normal. After they come out of the rehabilitation center even during they can contact me for support
