  4. Damaged nail. Without any treatment?

My wife damaged her nail by hitting a stone and the nail has now turned black. She is having pain whenever water comes in contact with that nail. Will it get normal without any treatment?

Hi! She could have developed a clot in the nail bed. If there is no redness or oozing cover it with a good padded dressing. It will settle as the clot is absorbed.
