Hello, any surgical procedure is done under Anesthesia. So no surgical procedure is painful. Advantage of laproscopy done by trained surgeon is minimum recovery period of two to three days. Not much scar. For risk any surgical procedure is potentially risky as it’s your body response to Anesthesia, then how much is the disease is inside, whether it is attached to any other tissue like bowel, bladder and surgical skill. Generally in routine practise it is not much risky.

Endometriosis can affect one's ability to become pregnant.  It can also be a painful condition. Laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis can improve chances of becoming pregnant,  however with small cysts, medical management of endometriosis can be done.  But , medical management delays conception.  So , you should go with your doctor's advice for the same. Laparoscopic surgery is done under anaesthesia,  so it's not painful. Mild postoperative pain can be controlled with pain killers. Recovery is quick, one is able to walk the very next day, and is normal after a week. However, complete healing inside may take a month to 6 weeks.
