Cut finger
Hi,
At work I was helping put up some posters when I accidentally threw one of the nails into the bin. I fished the nail out and washed it but in the process cut my finger. I'm now concerned that if the nail touched a dirty tissue in the bin an infection could have been passed onto me.
Is it possible to contract HIV or hep B in this way?

If tissue had blood or body fluids in it, better to go to a dermatologist or a venereologist and start on the 28 day prophylaxis. Do not wait. That is the safest way. U may need to do a baseline tests for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis before starting o the drugs.
