Curdly Spit up
Hello doctor, I have q baby girl born on 4th feb, she has started to spit up a lot since yesterday. Not sure if she is overfed or because I started to feed her in side lying position. I have a severe back pain and advised rest. How to safely breastfeed in side lying position? I get scared when she spits up lying down. Birth weight- 2.86kg Diacharge weight - 2.68kg Current weight ( 70days)- 5.4kg

Hello mam Spitting in this age group is a common thing in this age group. You have to observe whether she is throwing out within 30mins of feeding. If yes, then it's overfeeding, if not then nothing to worry. It's very common. And in response to your 2nd querry, I want to recommend you to feed her your milk, but definitely not in lying down position. Well, you can upright your upper trunk with the help of bolsters or pillows and then can feed.Moreover, our aim is to feed the baby in upright. So, whatever position suits you, you can take. Yes, her weight is good.
