Creatinine 8.1
Hi
My mother is under treatment of kidney. She has undergone 3 dialysis from last 10 days. But the creatinine level is still 8.1 and is not decreasing.
Urine is now around 1700 to 1800 ml per day.
Please help.

Hello I understand your concern
The fall in serum creatinine with dialysis is depending on the type of kidney problem
With any kind of kidney problem the creatinine will fall by around 30-40 % following dialysis
But with in next successive 2 days will reaching nearer to previous level, for that reason most of the patients who were initiated on dialysis with chronic problem will be requiring this for lifelong
But in this case urine output is increasing so the chances of recovery without dialysis is very high she may get the normal creatinine also within 3 weeks
