Crack on nail
Hi,
There is vertical crack till the root in the index finger of my wife's hand. As the nail grows the crack is growing. It has been past 4 months and still the crack is not filled. Please consult.

Best approach for this would be a surgical removal of nail under local anaesthesia and inspection of the nail bed. If there is any issue with the nail bed, it can be corrected. A new nail will come in 2-3 months which will be healthy.
