Covid Vaccine
My dad is vaccinated by 2 shots of anti covid Vaccine i.e Covishield..my question is as per availability..is it safe to take first dose covaxin as people who have taken 2 dose of covishield still getting covid..and some of them I heard is dead..what is the difference between both vaccine?

1)The best vaccine is the one that you can get your hands on...ie both are effective.
2) regarding covishield vaccine : It gives you 75% protection against covid , that doesn't mean that after vaccination you wont get covid, there still exists a 25 % chance to get infected with covid.
But the benefit of vaccination is that if you get covid after complete vaccination then 95% of the time the disease wont go for a severe course and 99% of the time the patient wont die out of covid.

Both vaccines have equal efficacy. Recently a myth is circulated by media that people wont get Covid infection after vaccination. It is not true. You can take any one of vaccine available. You may get covid but severity of infection will be very less. As far as death d/t vaccine is considered, those cases are under evaluation.
