Covid vaccine for breast feeding mother
Hello, Wanted to know whether breast feeding mother of a 19 month old child can take vaccine?The child is mainly taking breast milk

Vaccine is essentially safe but at present no sufficient studies available to establish its safety.
Next Steps
Since child is 19 months, try and wean off and take vaccine as soon as possible

There are no study  regarding the safety of covid-19 vaccine on breastfeeding mother. FOGSI A large body of gynaecology association of strongly recommends vaccination. It secrets in milk & gives protection to baby. As it is a mrna vaccine  it does not harm to mother.
Next Steps
Choice is of mother. Those who got vaccinted  did not see sny side effect till now.

Presently enough information are not available regarding safety of Indian vaccines on children.   Breastfeeding mothers will obviously pass the antibodies to baby through breast milk. That is good. At present vaccination in this category is not advisable But this may change anytime.
