Covid reinfection
Hi, My father had mucormycosis post COVID hospitalisation. He was treated for the same with maxillectomy about 15 months back. Recently, he tested Covid positive and has recovered at home. Is there a risk of mucormycosis reinfection?

Hii...Mucormycosis is the new disease. There is no surety of the recurrence will occur or not.. But it is a threatening disease, so he should have regular checkup , X - ray & CBCT done as per the suggestion of the Doctor who has treated him. If you feel any changes in the oral cavity & the symptoms like previously, then you should visit the Dr. immediately.
