Hi, My father had mucormycosis post COVID hospitalisation. He was treated for the same with maxillectomy about 15 months back.
Recently, he tested Covid positive and has recovered at home.
Is there a risk of mucormycosis reinfection?

Hii...Mucormycosis is the new disease. There is no surety of the recurrence will occur or not.. But it is a threatening disease, so he should have regular checkup , X - ray & CBCT done as per the suggestion of the Doctor who has treated him. If you feel any changes in the oral cavity & the symptoms like previously, then you should visit the Dr. immediately.
