COVID positive in pregnancy
My sister is 26 weeks pregnant and she has been tested positive for COVID..She is fully vaccinated against covid..She had symptoms of leg aches and fever..She had isolated herself from day 1 of symptoms arrival ..Doctor has advised her to take dolo Sos and keep herself hydrated.Steam and saline gargles can be done if there is any congestion in nose and throat..She has otherwise healthy pregnancy till now with no complications ..Her only concern is whether COVID can affect the foetus or it can give some complication to foetus..It is her 1st pregnancy..

There are no studies to prove any effects on the unborn baby. Ask her to keep her fever under control, be well hydrated. Once she recovers and has completed her quarantine period, she can visit for obstetric examination once.
