Coughing up tissue???

Question

Asked for Female, 35 Years

Have a severe sore throat. Dr. Suspected tonsillitis and gave me 2 shots of penicillin and penicillin capsules for another 10 days. I'm 3 days in and my throat feels slightly better and today I coughed up something that, to me, looks like body tissue. I put it in a baggie and stuck it in the refrigerator in case my Dr. wants to see it. Is this something that's normal? Should I be concerned. I have a photo if that would help.

Hi, You should consult your physician and get it evaluated to check your oral cavity. You have already received antibiotics and feeling better..So don't worry.. If still you have any doubt you may sent sputum for gram stain..
