Cough syncope
Hi , My friend is having cough syncope. He was advised earlier to have sercef cv 500 ( cefuroxi me and clavulonic acid) for 6 days .. but no effects later a pulmonologist advised him to have Azee 500 ( Azithoromycin ) with Allegra 120 from last 3 days but there are no effects of same. His chest x-ray and haemogram reports are fine and pretty normal. Please suggest what can be done he is coughing since 20 days and he also visited earlier that is in the start  an ENT who gave him steroids defnalone 6mg. Waiting for suggestions as his condition today is bad and he fainted thrice with hurting himself.

Cough syncope is a difficult condition to treat. Many times medicines may not work very well. Usually steroids along with cough suppressants are given. Sometimes medicines such as gabapentin are beneficial in many patients
