Please consult an ENT Specialist near you ( using the Practo app to help select the right doctor)who will get a CT scan of your nose and paranasal sinuses to search for the source of the thick phlegm. This is usually caused by certain bacteria as a defence against common antibiotics used against them and will require a co-prescription of powerful mucolytics along with suitable antibiotics as well as intranasal corticosteroid sprays. Sometimes there may be physical obstructions in the path of medication requiring Endoscopic Sinus & Nasal Surgery before beginning of treatment.
