Cough problem
For cough and sore throat doxycycline tablet can take. Because it's pointing like needle in throat. If i cough it's going then again it's coming. When i liedown cough not coming. From today morning it's being pointing like needle and cough coming. I'm using nexpro rd 40 and espanz 40 tablet for acidity.

Hi, most likely it will be viral.
1.Try to avoid antibiotics,
2. warm water gargling with salt added to it will help.
3. Please give rest to your voice
4 . If it is associated with fever and phlegm with thick yellow or green consult a physician as it points to super added bacterial infection.
5. If it does not improve in 3-5 days contact a local doctor

doxycylcine is an antibiotic. It is not recommended for cough. You can do gargling with betadine gargle, take steam and a cough suppressant syrup like grilinctus 10 ml three times a day for 3 days. (this syrup can cause sleepiness).
