My husband has been coughing continuously from past week since he has returned from a office trip in Tamil Nadu. Especially during night when sleeping the cough gets aggravated and lots of phlegm comes up. During day time too it's same but for less frequency. At night he doesn't sleep due to cough. I presumed it might be coz of indigestion issue. Please suggest.

Hello dear patient I would suggest you to not to take antibiotics straight away like someone advised you zifi 200 here. In your case there is no fever. And without cbc report or sputum test or examination the patient, how can one reach a conclusion that it's bacterial infection. It can be allergic or viral cause. Just take anti allergic medication like montelucast 10mg in evening, and syrup grilinctus L two to three times daily Two teaspoon, for 5 days. I hope this will help you. Tc
