Always give history fully to assess. Same symtom, but we give different drugsdue to fear of developing resistance
For cold cogh, I encourage Indian herbs KADDA.150ml of drinking water+fresh crushed ginger+ 3whole black pepper+ 3 Cloves.Boil this concocction to concentrate to100ml. Cool it. Serve warve. Twice a day for 3days.

Hello. I don't think antibiotic is needed for your baby just for cold and cough unless there is an indication to start it or if she has some added symptoms on examination. But, yes both antibiotics are same.
