Cough at midnight
How come cough caused by heart failure doesn't comes during daily night sleep.
Rather it comes once a while during sleep at midnight making to wake up with a few burps and saliva?

First of all I would like to know are you a patient of congestive heart failure
If yes what medication you are on
It can happen that cough and breathlessness can come only off and on
This happens because of more venous return to the heart in lying down
