Mitochondrial diaease and heart failure
I am having symptoms of heart failure like extreme shortness of breath, pulmonary congestion, rapid and irregular heart beats, low urine output with brownish urine, sometimes chest pain. Changes in ECG(Significant ST-T changes) Doctors have evaluated me for traditional heart failure. They did 2D echo(LVEF 65%), Cardiac MRI(LVEF 66%), Coronary Angiography(No Evidence of CAD), Nt Pro BNP (60 pg/ml). Now doctors are suspecting for cardiac metabolic disease like mitochondrial disease. Doctors have told me if it is there, there is no treatment for it and it can cause severe heart failure and death. How to treat this condition? What is the diagnostic test for this disease?
