I have phlegm in my throat, it won't come out, neither can I swallow it. I have a sore throat and coughing because of this for a very long time. Recently after I was admitted in the hospital because of kidney stones, I started to have chest congestion too, I have a burning sensation from my throat to chest.

Your problem could be due to acidity probably caused by the pain killers you may have been taking for the kidney stone. Try antacids, if there is no relief, then show a doctor.
