Cough and cold
Hi sir / madam , My sistet suffering from cough and cold since 2 days , I think this is the seasonal effect but heavy cough gets stomach pain and abdominal pain. Is it get any problems ? Or it is normal ?

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  Your history is very insufficient.  We need to evaluate the cough. For certain type of cough she might need antibiotics also.  As of now, give her a tab. Monticope-A twice a day after food.  Consult a general physician in person for further evaluation and management. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.

Severe cough causing stomach pain during coughing can be due to Pharyngitis (throat infection) or Bronchitis. Antibiotic needs to be taken for both; if it is Bronchitis, a bronchodilator is added. Cough suppressant may be useful. Salt water gargling after food intake can soothen the throat and decrease cough intensity.
