What's the difference between fine needle aspiration and core needle aspiration ?

Fine needle aspiration is tissue sampling with small bore needle-22-24 G needle. CORE needle biopsy-wide bore needle used 16-18 G needle. Core needle biopsy gives more tissue for pathological examination. FALSE NEGATIVE rate with core needle biopsy is around 4% where as with FNAC its around 10-15%.
