Controlling sugar
Hba1c is 7.5 Estimated avg sugar is 168 Glocose fasting 351 Pp 517 Need to know what and how much insulin need to be given to my mother. Actually she has stenting done for billiary instruction. There is a mass detected on pancreas and she may undergo surgery next month. Doctors did not provide pac clearance as sugar level is high. Please need your suggestions on what could be the probable dose of insulin to control and maintain the sugar level. Please... Thanks in advance!!!

First of all, check her insulin levels. If insulin levels are low then she would need insulin but most cases it's it's insulin resistance which causes high blood sugar levels. Insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes can be easily reversed by eating right food.
