I had unprotected sex with my partner on 25 th dec 2016.. i took option 72 pill on 26 th dec 2016. the pill had an expiry date of December 2016.. will the pill have worked????

The medicine is potent till the month of expiry mentioned on it.. it implies that the medicine you took was portent enough to work ..so most probably you are not going to conceive. if you miss your periods you should perform of pregnancy test and act accordingly .the emergency pills are made for emergency purposes only. don't use them in routine as they contain very high levels of hormones which might interfere with your normal body hormones.for your health sake, use condom so that you don't need this pill.

Yes, it will work. Wait for your periods to come. If they do not come then do a urine pregnancy test. If the result is positive, you are pregnant and then consult a gynaecologist for further evaluation and management.

Emergency pills do not have 100% results. As of now, wait for your periods. If you miss them, do a urine pregnancy test. To avoid such stressful situations, it's better to start OC pills or use condom every time
