Can anyone above 18 yrs get a contraceptive injection from a Gynecologist? Any additional requirements apart from age and health condition?

To take the injectable contraceptive ,pregnancy should be ruled out first . It can be taken by any patient above 18 years of age but it should not be taken more than two years.
