Consult a skin specialist
I had groin infection and consulted a couple of dermatologist. The first one prescribed a few medicines such as Terbinafine 250 mg , Intraconazole 100 mg , Sertaconazole 2% ointment and Hydroxyzine 10 mg which I had for 2 months. The infection reduced a lot but then once I stopped the medication it returned back. After which I consulted another dermatologist who suggested other medicines Fluconazole 200 mg , Albendazole 400 mg , Luliconzazole 1% ointment and Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride 5 mg , which I had as prescribed for 2 months. The first doctor said it was ringworm and jock itch together , the second said it was fungal infection. The condition is better now but it seems to be returning back. My major problem is the cure for it. Also that the medication has turned the skin on my groin and around the region so dark, almost black from original fair skin which makes it look extremely bad. If there is a specialist out there , please do recommend the right medication for curing it.

You may be suffering from tinea cruris which is fungal infection of the inner thighs and genital area. Ringworm, tinea or jock itch or fungus are all names of same infection. It can be treated by taking four to six weeks of anti fungal treatment which includes tablets along with creams. Do not use soap over that area. Your treatment has been correct but my observation is if you are not taking brand of antifungal which is from a standard company the infection relapses. Also other household.memebers having the infection should be simultaneously treated Otherwise cross infection happens leading to relapse.  Please consult me in private chat with photos for detailed prescription.
