My dear proud mother of a 90 days old baby , there are two things by which you can avoid constipation . One give exclusive breast feeding to baby . Breast fed babies pass semiliquid stools without any effort . Second is stop formula feeding . Formula fed babies often have constipation , for formula you are introducing all disadvantages of bottle feeding too . Why do you want to do this wrong to your baby ? It is recommended that for best immunity and nutrition and also other many benefits babies should be exclusively breast fed till at least 6 months of age . It will be a good idea to do a thyroid test in baby for constipation as this is surely a cause of preventable mental retardation too . So don’t be anxious but act on this sound advise . Of need be get in touch for detailed discussion to solve other issues . Best .

Passing stool once in 6-7 days is normal in a breast fed baby. All babies strain to pass stool and gas . This is normal, nothing to worry
Next Steps
If she is in pain/ straining disturbs feeding or sleep, then give colicaid drops.
