Constipation
Hi. My daughter is 19 months old and she has been passing hard stool since 2 days and i think she has a fissure or so coz of which she is crying while passing stool. I gave 1 sachet of econorm a while back. No outside milk given but she had a sweet (paneer form) made of pure cow milk. Could that have caused it? Giving her plenty of water. How else can i help her?

Constipation in this age group is common and it leads to many problems.. fissure is one of them. She requires medicine to soften her stool. Please visit your pediatrician and start her on polyethylene glycol for few weeks. To avoid constipation give salads and fruits to your baby.
