Constipation
Hi Doc, My baby is 1.5 yrs old. Since a few months he has been passing hard stool on average 4 days  a week. He passes stool every day mostly. Our consulting doctor prescribed Eva Q medicine for 20 days initially around November'23. Still on and off this problem was surfacing . In mid January , he prescribed MuOut for 2 months but we continued till the end of March. On the course of his medicine problem resurfaced only 4-5 each month. Now if we stop it again his stool becomes too hard. He struggles for 4-5 hrs to pass stool and in pain too. He is on top feed along with solid food like rice , dal , roti, vegetables etc. Food intake is normal. Please suggest this for immediate relief if any baby is struggling a lot to pass stool. Last night we gave Eva Q : 5ml and today morning MuOut as he is struggling a lot. Thanks Thanks

Need to use glycerin suppository 1gm once or a higher dose of Muout syrup initially for 2 to 3 days till soft stools easily passed
Next Steps
Then the dose you were earlier giving to be continued at least for 2 to 3 months. Wean off gradually if can
Health Tips
High fiber diet, lot of water intake, regular toilet habits All this if no history of lack of stooling after birth or any other symptoms
