Do you know the cause of your constipation? Has this been assessed and investigated by a specialist?
One of the common causes of constipation can be IBS (though it can also cause diarrhoea in some).
IBS is linked to anxiety and stress and thus antidepressant medication can be useful.
However, try non-medicinal options first, such as yogurt based drinks, avoiding excessive tea, coffee and fizzy drinks.
Regular exercise, including walk and yoga can also be helpful.
Next Steps
Try understand the cause of your constipation. Make a dietary intake and mood diary.
Health Tips
regular exercise can help release endorphins, which can help reduce stress levels
