Congenital hypothyroidism
Hi Doctor..can someone please help me with this..Can two days of thyronom medicine impact TSH level in the blood report..also the blood test was taken after the medicine was taken in the morning...I am asking this because before medicine TSH was 15.37 and after two days of medicine the report came as tsh 8.42...this was done for new born baby 23 days old...please some one help to understand

Ma’am generally in two days thyroid cannot return to this range. There is a possibility that first report was false.
But I would still still recommend you to first consult your pediatrician and discuss regarding the same and what to do further and other test to rule out congenital hypothyroidism
