Confusion b/w betacap 40 & metaprolol 50
I have a problem of social anxiety related high blood pressure ( upto 160 / 110 ) and pulse rate upto 140 even after taking amlip 10 whenever in social situations  . So my general physician told me to stop amlip 10 and start metaprolol 50 mg and i also take second opinion from another doctor online where he prescribed beatcap tr 40 ...Now i am confused between these two medicine which should i take - betacap tr 40 or metoprolol 50 for anxiety related high blood pressure Nd pulse rate ...plz clear my doubt which should i take ( plz note my all blood reports  are totally normal )

Betacap (propranol ) would be better for anxiety as it is non selective beta blocker and is used for anxiety since decades  compared to metoprolol which is more cardio selective n not that frequently prescribed for anxiety.

you might take other medicines for anxiety of not contolled by propranolol alone. consult a psychiatrist for add on medicies.
