Hello,
Any gastro-enterologist loves a well prepared colon before a colonoscopy.
Try and stick a liquid diet 24 hrs prior to the procedure.
Avoid having a heavy meal (fried food, red meats)48 hrs before the procedure
Follow the prescription provided by your doctor.
Keep yourself well hydrated after you have taken the purgative medication (expect to have a quite few trips to the lavatory)
Have a good night's rest before your appointment.
Have some one accompany you on the day of the procedure.
Feel free to ask your doctor anything that's on your mind before the procedure.
Regards.
