Cold with red eye

Asked for Male, 40 Years

I am having cough for couple of days and throat pain which is much lesser compare to past two days. But the biggest problem i see my eyes are geting red. Is this because of cold or do i have to see an eye specialist? In the morning there ate lots of discharges. Day begore yeaterday both eyes were red, yesterday was much better and not red at all but today again the right eye is red. Please advise.
