Generally there is no need of usage of cotton. You can just wash your eyes with clean water room temperature when ever you come back from outside.and then clean your inner side with clean and wet cotton cloth But it is not advisable to wipe harshly. You need to be very gentle. Only if you have any redness and any discharge then u can use cotton by dipping it into warm water and then use it clean discharge very gently.

Yes you can.Easiest way to get sterile cotton is to boil cotton balls in clean water in a utensil with lid for 10minutes. Let it cool down.Take a cotton ball out of the boiled water to clean your eyes.Use it within 24hours.Lesser you touch your eye, better it is !

Yes you can use clean cotton and normal clean drinking water or boiled water(after cooling) to clean your eyes. There is no need to sterilise cotton as such if you buy packed rolls from the pharmacy. Don’t use Dettol or Savlon and just use normal water.
