I have been having mid back pain for over a month and of late I get numbness and heel pain even if I sit for just 5 minutes. What should I do and which doctor should I meet? Thanks in advance!

A 8 yr old child with back pain and numbness in the leg could be a serious problem. Please get him checked up and get the MRI done.

please consult a spine surgeon/ orthopaedic surgeon. This can be commonly because of disc problem. you may need to get radiological examnation done with prior prescription from doctor to confirm your diagnosis.

avoid forward bending , lifting weights, avoid positions which increase your pain.
