Ckd and RA
My mother who is 63 yrs old, non diabetic and non hypertensive is diagnised with stage 5 ckd and she also have RA .het serum creatinine is 3.9 earlier and now its 3.2 with diet control. what would be the best treatment for her and are there any medicines which can bring back her kidney health?

It is likely that the creatinine would be gradually increasing. She might require Renal replacement treatment either in the form of dialysis or Renal tranplant. The conservative measures would work for a while and later on active intervention will be required. If she has diabetes or hypertension, then control of these would help to keep the residual kidney function intact and prevent progression to a certain extent

No..her kidneys cannot be brought back to normal as she is having stage 5 ckd.. continue with diet control..do regular exercises.. consult a nephrologist for further opinion...
