Circumcision for 6 month old baby
My son is 6 month old . I need advice whether circumcision is recommended for my baby . Last week we met pediatrician since my son is urinating frequently. We tested urine routine and urine culture . Routine is normal and culture shows infection. But he doesn't have fever and he well active, so doctor advice to take second culture test after 1 week . But again second result also shows infection. So doctor gave antibiotics for 5 days . So consider all the above and I would request/ advice whether is circumcision is recommended for my son ?

Circumcision can be done only after treating Urine infection.

Hi,
Get a ultrasound abdomen and MCU scan since the baby is having repeated infection to find cause.
Next Steps
You can think of circumcision if scan are normal and then too he gets repeated infection.

Culture postive uti, pls do Followup scans and investigation according to pediatrician befre we think of cirucmcision
Can wait till 1 year.
