Chronic Recurrent Intense Nightmares.
I'm experiencing nightmares almost every single night from the past 2-3 years! I innitially used to feel they were due to stress because of studies but that doesn't appear to be true as they haven't stopped even after passing my final year (Medicine student here). These dreams take over on me physically and I feel being pinched, pulled, hit, stared at by a scary face; involve fast heart beats, fast breathing, almost never associated with sweating. I also have been suffering from sleep onset insomnia since 7-8 years. I do not have any other medical conditions. I take Avil 50 mg for sedation around 1-2 times a week The frequency of nightmares increases to almost tripple if I masturbate after a 4-5 days break. Not masturbating for long enough fills the night with strong heated thoughts that contribute to the sleep onset insomnia. Frequency also tends to increase when I sleep after a sleep deprived period. Past history- l  "Normally" get 20-25 normal dreams each night since early childhood
