Chronic itch
I have been having a chronic itch on my genitals for about a year now. Its a constant irritating itch which doesn't go away. Skin has become slightly greyish or hyperpigmented. The skin has also thickened. I was told it is lichen simplex chronicus and have been advised to use clobetasol propionate ointment, but I just wanted a second opinion.

Lichen simplex occurs on the labia and fungal infection is seen on thighs and buttocks. You have not mentioned your site. I don't prescribe clobetasol on these areas as this is very strong steroid. And steroid should not be used for fungus. Please call me or send photos using online consult option for proper examination diagnosis and treatment advice.
